Photo Editing Tutorial!

1. Open the photo you want to work with for the today's purpose. You can go to file menu and
heat open or simply press "Ctrl" on Window/ "Cmd" on a Mac and press "O" on your keybord.
Look for the file you want to select, once got, double click on it.

2. Take a duplicate layer by going to the layer palette and clicking & druging the
background layer into the "Create a new Layer" box which is located at the bottom
of the layer palette and 2nd one from he right hand side). Take off the
original background layer by clicking on its visibility icoon. You need
to do this to make sure that the original layer is preserved, in case we need that again later-on.

3. Go to Image Menu>>Adjust>>Brightness/ Contrast. A dialogue box will appear where you can
actually adjust the brightness and contrast. There should have two different boxes, one is for
brightness and the other one is for contrast. Since this image is quite fade and need to increase
the intensity of the color, first thing you need to do is increase the contrast. Go ahead increasing
until you get the desired color contrast. You might also increase the brightness a little bit, keep
trying until you are happy.




4. Click the "OK" button once you meet the desired looking and you are done.

One more thing I would probably do is to select some perticular portion of the photo and try to give it something looks better than other area. In this case, I would first draw path around the lip using "Pen Tool", click the right button and choose "Make Selection".

  


5. Now, again go to Image Menu>>Adjust>>Brightness/ Contrast. Increse the contrast to get some better color intensity result from the lip. And we are done.
